Irish Ferries, one of two Companie`s serving the Port of Cherbourg
from Rosslare Europort, the 2012 balance sheet
was quite satisfactory -- (9% increase for Freight, and Passenger 3%.)...The Oscar Wilde, can accommodate 1458 passengers and 450 cars,
has resumes its 2013 French Service with a week earlier than usual,
as the Ship was back at Rosslare Europort early from its Annual Dry Dock Refit...
The Company offers the Crossing, which lasts (17 hours)...Three trips are offered each week, on Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays, until mid-May,
after that the Full Service will start with Sailings every Second Day from
Rosslare Europort to Cherbourg, and to the Port of Roscoff...

Celtic Link Ferries, announces an increase in the number of Passengers by 21% (68,500)
and Irish Ferries 2% (130,000). More surprisingly, Freight Traffic remained at a good level,
except for Exports of French Cars (Renault and PSA), which there were (14,000) at Cherbourg...
(This decrease in New Trade Cars Imports was due in large part to the end
of the Irish Government Second Hand Car Scrappage Scheme...)

under pressure from the Ferries berthing here when there is
strong winds in the Port, as a result they are damage at times,
and Maintenance Contractors are called in to repair them...
