The Elise was unable to get away from the Quay Wall
today after dicharging New Trade Cars due to strong East wind.
The Normandy arrived in today from Cherbourg at 1pm.
Ferries, Stena Europe and Isle of Inishmore on time.
Weather in Port...Overcast in the morning, sunny later on in the
day,
fresh
to strong East winds,
wind direction: 70°., temp 9 -10°c.

NMT ELISE ARRIVING WITH
TRADE CARS...

The NMT Elise is now delivering New Trade Cars into Rosslare
Europort
for the Irish Market, the Vessel offload`s on No 5
Berth, and has to wait
for the tide to be at a certain height for her side loading stern
door to work,
so far there is no problems discharging the ship.
On her lower deck the vessel can store up to 60 cars, this part of
the offloading operation
is slow because only two cars at a time can only be lifted up to
the main deck
using her lifting deck.

Irish Light`s Vessel the Granuaile III was in Rosslare Europort
today,
the ship was on No 2 Berth, and her Crew were carring out
maintenance
work on the Data Buoys on her working platform deck.

THE ISLE OF INISHMORE
DEPARTING...

Isle of
Inishmore is doing two sailings per day to Pembroke Dock, in
South Wales,
the vessel is extremely busy with high Numbers of Trailers and
Artics being shipped outwards and inwards,
and at times falls behind her schedule sailing times due
to the high volume of Freight,
and also due to the adverse weather conditions over the pass few
months with high winds, gales and heavy seas,
she had her fair share of sailings being cancelled due to
adverse weather over the Winter Months.
The Isle of
Inishmore was launched on the 4th Oct 1996,
and entered Service on
the 2nd March 1997.
Ship Builder, Van Der
Giessen - de Noord, Rotterdam,
and was built in 15
months...

PART OF LUAS RAIL TRAM ARRIVED...

In on the Celtic Link ship, Diplomat, a Section of a Tram Rail
Car
for the Dublin Light Rail Transit System arrived in Rosslare
Europort.
The Trams are manufactured in La Rochelle, France by Alstom
Transport.
They are model type Citadis 301 & 401.
The Trams are 40m in length on the Green line, and 30m in length
on the Red line.
The Red line Trams will all be extended by 10m in 2007.
