Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat, Donald and Barbara Broadhead
and the Wexford Inshore Lifeboat, 
Philip Robert Booth were called
out by the Coast Guard to assist a vessel in difficulties  off  Wexford Coast,
the Lifeboats were called out around 5.50pm to the boat with
5 people on board, the Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat took the first
tow, and when the vessel was close to Wexford Port, the Wexford
Lifeboat then took the vessel in tow into Wexford Harbour,
all Crew and safe and well.

Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat, Donald and Barbara Broadhead
and the Kilmore Quay Lifeboat was out on an exercise, and received
a call that a swimmer was in 
difficulties off Carne Beach, County Wexford.

The two Lifeboats went to the area and carried out a search
and nothing was reported, after two hours the Rosslare Harbour
Lifeboat return to her Mooring Pen in Rosslare Harbour.

RELIEF LIFEBOAT...

There was a relief Lifeboat on standby in Rosslare Harbour
Lifeboat Station for the 
Donald and Barbara Broadhead
which was away in Arklow Port for Maintenance,
the relief Lifeboat was the Margaret Joan and Fred Nye.

A yacht ran aground on a sandbank off the Wexford Harbour,
two Lifeboats were called out by the Coastguard, the Wexford
Harbour Lifeboat Philip Robert Booth, and the Rosslare Harbour
Lifeboat, 
Donald and Barbara Broadhead to give assistance to the
41 ft yacht, "Dare".

The Vessel had 4 German Crew Members on Board,
and the yacht went aground about 9.45pm. The Yacht lost her
rudder when she ran aground, the Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat towed
the vessel back into Rosslare Harbour, and the Wexford Lifeboat return
back to Wexford Harbour.

A New Rudder was attached to the the yacht,
after that the "Dare" departed Rosslare Port the next day,
all her crew safe and well.

Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat was busy on
Saturday, 15th July, the Coastguard made two calls
for the Lifeboat to be launched, the first call was to assist
a Yacht that go into difficulties off Rosslare Harbour,
the Lifeboat was launched around 4.50am. 
all crew safe and well.

The Lifeboat was again launched at 8.30pm,
a Motorboat was in difficulties with 4 people on board
South of Rosslare Harbour, the Lifeboat towed
the Vessel back to Rosslare Harbour, all crew safe and well.

At (10.10pm) The Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat was called
out to a 27ft Motorboat that was drifting off Rosslare Harbour
with 6 people on board, the boat had engine trouble and was
towed back into Rosslare Port, 
all crew safe and well.

Date 22-07-2006

At (4.30am) The Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat was called
out to a 
Yacht that go into difficulties off Rosslare Harbour,
(Yacht had fouled on lobster pots lines),
all crew safe
and well, the Lifeboat return back to Rosslare Port, refuel,
and was back on Service ready for the next call out.

The Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat was out in the afternoon
carry out some Sea Trials, the Vessel was out at sea for about 20mins
and came back in to its Mooring Pen.

The Rosslare Harbour Lifeboat was out to a vessel in
difficulties South of Rosslare Harbour, crew safe, Lifeboat
return to Rosslare Harbour. (The Wexford Lifeboat towed the Boat
back to Wexford Harbour.
